Las Vegas too, you can drive on the Strip and see the Stratosphere Tower, Bellagio Fountains etc. San Francisco lets you drive along Fisherman's Wharf, as well as go over both the Bay Bridge & Golden Gate Bridge. That's another reason why I thought ATS' cities are much better than ETS2's. Pancras Railway Station! The same both can be said in Brussels and Vienna, for both having a downtown core, which I think is beautiful mapmaking right there. There's even a road along Euston Road, and you can drive by St. In ProMods London, there is a bridge crossing over the Thames, with views of Big Ben and London's Financial District. Whenever I drive in those 3 cities, I actually feel like I'm in that city, considering all the sights and downtown core. If you have seen ProMods edited versions of London, Brussels, or Vienna then you know what I'm talking about. That's why I was overjoyed to download ProMods and see Europe from there. However, with mods I already saw that it was possible. Of course, I don't expect EVERY single landmark to be in the game, that'd be impractical especially with the scaled down size of Europe and difficulty of placing cities. There's no Eiffel Tower in Paris, no Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, no Colosseum in Rome, and so on. Where even is Big Ben? The Thames River? Tower Bridge? I can go on with this for a lot of other cities. But, I just hoped that small element could have been in ETS2, and it would have greatly enhanced the experience of driving.įor example, take the vanilla ETS2 version of London. Before you become mad at me for saying this, I completely understand the time it takes for game devs to develop and map out the entirety of Europe, and I respect them for taking the time to create these complex road networks, signs, scenery, etc.īut I'm just wondering, do some players use ETS2 as a form of seeing/touring Europe? Yes, I know it's not really practical because ETS2 is about trucking, not sightseeing.
